Flute of Dancing
Inspired by a recent history of heresy in medieval times, and Richard Wunderli’s telling of the story of the Drummer of Niklashausen, Hans Behem, here is a magic item that should please fans of the Pied Piper of Hamlin.
This flute appears to be a normal, oversized flute. When played by a person who succeeds on a DC 15 Perform (wind instruments) check, the flute creates an hypnotic rhythm of a tune. Those within 30 feet who fail DC 20 Will saves are forced to dance for 2d6 rounds. Those affected can still attack, but at a -4. They also receive a +2 bonus to AC while dancing.
Flutes of dancing can be sounded with this effect twice a day.

Tablas of Persuasion
These portable drums appear normal until played by someone who succeeds at a DC 15 Perform (drums/percussion) check. At this point the rhythm of the drums causes all who are within earshot (typically 60′) to make a DC 15 Will save or be at a -10 on all Will saves while the drums are played. This makes them more susceptible to persuasion, charm, and command effects originating from the player or those aligned with her.
Faint enchantment; CL 8th; Craft Wondrous Item, creator must have the bardic music class feature, charm person; Price: 15,000gp; Weight 5 lb.

Feather of Falling
This feather is plucked from a flying creature’s wing, and is enchanted with a featherfall spell. It acts exactly like a feather fall spell, activated immediately if the wearer falls more than 5 feet.
Faint enchantment; CL 1st; feather of a flying creature; featherfall; Price 1,800 gp.

Ring of Appearing as Magic
Created by some bored, sick wizard in his tower, this ring appears as if it is magical, and that is its only magical enhancement. It will appear as magical in response to detect magic, but an identify or analyze dweomer will reveal nothing, only that it is imbued with some form of an enchantment. This confounds mages who feel the need to know everything about an item, and personalities of this type will likely devote countless hours to the task in vain.
Faint enchantment, CL 3, craft wondrous item, Price: 150gp.
